Why  Imilchil?

IMIL = Door

CHIL = Market Place Area

This area of Morocco was the meeting place for all the tribes in the region. IMIL was the door through the mountains which opened up to a clearing area that people used for a souk to sell or trade their goods. Mohamed's village of Ait Hani is 60 km from Imilchil. This is the area he grew up in. The legend of the Wedding Festival came from this area. The "Ait Haddidou" tribe is Mohamed's. (See Your Hosts for more information).
